From Temptress To Heroine: The Sergeant Cece Story
An army commander had to step down in the Kingdom of Swaziland, all because of a night of passion gone wrong with her. Sergeant Cece Shongwe is believed to have recorded the commander revealing state secrets, but that’s not the only thing making her problematic. She also claims protestors were burned alive by soldiers. Now, she’s on the run, and some are calling her a Delilah, while some are hailing her as a heroine. Let’s unpack the Cece story, shall we?
Patriotism Or Prostitution?
A South African bank account is receiving donations on her behalf. She has gone into hiding in South Africa at this time. Her superiors are out to get her, and she’s now joined the list of political outlaws wanted by the government. There are a few advantages to the situation she’s found herself in though. Although she’s lost her job and any hope of living in Swaziland right now, there are some perks to being Cece. The lady has built quite a fanbase for herself. On Facebook, she's gotten nearly 10 000 followers since her story made headlines.
Cece is still a very active voice in Swaziland’s struggle for democracy. She often posts live videos on her social media and she’s even been invited for web conference interviews with the critically acclaimed Swaziland News publication. There’s no doubting that if a regime change does occur, she’ll be welcomed with open arms by her people who appreciate her contribution to the revolution.
She's pretty much developed into a political figure, and many look to her to make sense of what's going on in the country. As a former member of the nation's security services, her words definitely carry some weight, even though she did resign in August. Many emaSwati truly believe Cece's story, and her popularity in the country is evidence of that.

ReplyDeleteThere is no link between Cece and Delilah.Delilah was in love with Samson but the Phillistine elders threatened her that if she didnt do as they said there would be concequences.

On the other hand Cece was as we all know by now,all along working with the editor.She used to feed Zweli with information to fatten the movement.
She did not just meet the army commander in the street and fall in love.
The movement planted her there to do what she could inorder to get information from him.
She took a calculated risk to get into the enemy's camp and do what she did.
Mind you things might have gone the other way and ....maybe got caught and wanting to prove that he was really loyal to the king the commander might have brought her and the recordings before the crown and she might have been made an example of before the whole nation.
lm saying that she is a hero...a very brave woman who deserves respect.
There was never love and loyalty between the army commander and the sergent.
